As part of our World Around Us topic Extreme Earth, Primary 6 and Primary 7 had great fun learning all about volcanoes. We explored how volcanoes are formed and discovered why they erupt. The best part of our learning was creating our own volcanoes. The children got their hands messy as they carefully added baking soda, red food colouring and vinegar to create our explosive eruptions. Watching the "lava" bubble and flow was very exciting!
