Celebrations in Brewster Park for Finals Day

10th Jun 2026

Congratulations to our fantastic boys’ and girls’ teams on their outstanding achievement in reaching the County Finals.

On Monday 8th June, both teams travelled to Derrygonnelly where they competed with great determination and skill, successfully qualifying for County Finals Day on Wednesday 10th June. Their performances were a credit to the school, and excitement was building ahead of what promised to be a memorable occasion.

On Wednesday, our P6 and P7 pupils made the journey to Brewster Park for the finals, representing their school with pride and enthusiasm. In the opening final, our boys faced a very strong Garrison side. They delivered an excellent first-half performance and kept the game tightly contested, showing great teamwork and resilience. Despite their best efforts, they were narrowly defeated in the second half, but their courage and commitment throughout were truly commendable.

Next, it was the turn of our girls, who rose superbly to the challenge. From the outset, they displayed determination, confidence, and outstanding teamwork. Each player contributed with impressive skill, athleticism, and a great work ethic. Their efforts paid off as they proved too strong for Killyhommon, securing a well-deserved and convincing victory.

Both teams should be incredibly proud of their achievements. Reaching the County Finals is a fantastic accomplishment, and their performances on the day showcased not only their sporting ability but also their dedication, teamwork, and positive attitude. Well done boys and girls. We are very proud of you all.
