As part of our Up, Up and Away topic, Primary 4 and Primary 5 pupils worked together in groups to design and create their very own aeroplanes. Using what they had learned about flight and materials, each group carefully planned and built a plane that they hoped would fly.
Once the planes were ready, they headed outside for the big test! Pupils launched their creations across the playground to see which designs flew the furthest and why. There was lots of excitement, teamwork, and great discussions as the children compared results and thought about what made some planes fly further than others.
